About Klear

Klear’s mission is to improve the risk management practices of European clearing houses, thereby enabling fintech innovators to access them.

Our approach is driven by two key beliefs:

1. The membership criteria and risk management practices of Central Counterparty clearing houses (CCPs) is inefficient

2. It is far too challenging and expensive for fintech innovators to access the post-trading ecosystem (clearing, settlement, custody and asset servicing, and reporting)

Positioned in the data flow of broad EU trading, we leverage AI to provide CCPs with advanced risk models that optimise their exposure management, margin calls and capital allocation. This provides CCPs with more efficient risk management, allowing them to diversify their customer base and capture the growing volume of trading fintechs, who typically cannot qualify for direct membership on their own due to lack of liquid capital.

You would be working directly with the founder to develop and implement our tech strategy. This includes:

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain the software architecture with a focus on the particular needs of the clearing market, such as risk management, security and regulatory compliance

• Lead, design and develop the AI/ML systems necessary for the product

• Hire, lead and manage a team of deep learning engineers and software developers

You are a driven, entrepreneurial leader with experience leading engineering teams for at least one software product that achieved strong scale. You welcome the ownership, responsibility and ambiguity that comes with joining a fast-growing start-up in its infancy. Lastly, you are a great person!

Additional potential qualifications include:

• 5+ years of experience in designing and managing software architecture as well as in full-stack development or 5+ years in software development in the post-trading industry, or any closely related fields

• Strong preference if you have 2+ years in AI / ML product lifecycle

• Experience in building teams, and ideally have held a senior management position

• Passion for fintech and trading

• Experience at an early-stage start-up
